Be a Mixture!

imagesIn today’s world, many people die to be modern. Well! The word modern has its own definitions for each one of us. But many of us are living in the confused situation of being modern or traditional. For example- If we take marriages in traditional times love marriages were too rare and neither were they accepted by the society, but in modern era love marriages is the thing which is acceptable and is taken to be as normal as it is. But again the best marriage is  considered to be the one which is love come arrange but why ? Because you marry your love in the presence and with the blessings of those who sacrificed their lives for you all these years, your family. So, basically the best thing is to be a mixture.

Another good example, which I have is that of a house which is built in the best of the ways it can be and has all modern things and nothing traditional, the house would look good no doubt, but another house which is built in a modern way but is decorated with some traditional things and also the structure has a touch of tradition, that house would give an amazing look than that of the one which a completely modern.

Another very good story which I have to share is the one which I noticed in my Grad School. In my Grad School there were many boys and girls who used to be new to the city and had come all the way from either villages or smaller towns. On the very first day of the Grad School they wore those clothes which they would wear back home, Yes! Since they were from villages and small towns they would wear traditional clothes, but after a month I noticed that they had changed their clothes to those that we city people used to wear. Change is a part of everyones life and that’s good, but after 6 months or so I saw that the girls used to wear such clothes which were not at all acceptable in the Grad School because they were more of party clothes. But they wore these clothes because they wanted to throw away the tags of being Traditional and take up the badge of being “Modren”.

So, according to me we should pick up the best and practical points from our traditions and from the modern era. Be a mixture of traditions, customs and being modern!
What do you guys think about my idea?

Well this surely appears like the winning proposition to me. A perfect mix of the best from both the worlds. 🙂
